Tenisha Murphy, FNP-BC

 Tenisha Murphy, FNP-BC, is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with a strong foundation in both clinical care and healthcare leadership. She began her nursing career in 2013 after earning an Associate of Science in Nursing from Alfred State College, launching into her practice in labor and delivery at Jones Memorial Hospital.  Her commitment to continuous growth led her to join Olean General Hospital, where she gained experience on a step-down cardiac unit while pursuing further education. In 2015, she completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing, also from Alfred State College.

Over the past nine years, Ms. Murphy has held a series of progressive leadership roles at Olean General Hospital, including Clinical Supervisor, Unit Manager, Manager of Hospital Operations, and Director of Nursing. In each of these roles, she has prioritized not only physical health but also the mental and emotional well-being of her patients. Ms. Murphy is especially passionate about integrating psychiatric care into primary and acute care settings, working to ensure patients receive holistic, compassionate support for mental health needs.

Her dedication to patient-centered care has been recognized through multiple honors, including the prestigious Nightingale Award and the Nurse of Distinction Award.  In 2021, she further advanced her clinical expertise by earning a Master of Science in Nursing from D’Youville. She is licensed to practice in both New York and Pennsylvania.

Ms. Murphy’s diverse experience in direct patient care, psychiatric support, and healthcare administration gives her a comprehensive perspective and a deep commitment to delivering high-quality, whole-person care.  Outside of work, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her family, friends, and her two beloved dogs, Red and Ridley.
