Timothy Stead, PA-C

Timothy Stead is a board-certified Physician Assistant. He graduated from St. Bonaventure University with a Bachelor of Science in Biophysics in 2012. Timothy spent several years working as an Advanced Emergency Medical Technician before returning to St. Bonaventure University to obtain his degree in Master of Physician Assistant Studies in 2023. While still a graduate student, he was a co-founder for a student-led “Students Without Borders” organization that continues to bring  free healthcare to under served communities overseas on an annual basis.

Since completing graduate school, Timothy has since worked at the University of Rochester as a clinician on two specialized units for patients with acute medical needs and co-morbid mental illness and/or substance use. Here he has gained a preference for a bio-psycho-social approach to wellness and views human health and illness as a complex interaction of biological, psychological, and social factors. In his day to day practice, Timothy works hard to break down the stigma associated with mental healthcare and emphasizes its importance in improving a person’s overall well-being. He is passionate about creating a safe and calming environment for his clients to freely express themselves and encourages them to be an active participant in their treatment. 

Outside of work, Timothy enjoys an active lifestyle on his family’s dairy farm and looks forward to spending time with his significant other and three dogs. He also still volunteers for a local fire department and ambulance agency.
